Sikandar Movie Review - Will it Survive at Box Office?

Hi, it's Shobhit Tyagi. I recently saw Salman Khan’s latest movie, Sikandar, and today, I will review it. The movie stars Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles.

Story of the Movie

The story is about a person whose name is Sikandar Rajkot and he hails from a wealthy family who are the royals of Rajkot. Their family has been ruling the city for years. He is the latest king of the city. He is a kind-hearted person as well. One day he catches a male blackmailing a female in a plane.

He immediately prevents the lady from the man and makes a video and viral it on the internet. After seeing the video, Minister Rakesh Pradhan lost his respect in public and he got offended as the elections were approaching. Now, his mission is to take revenge on Sikandar. Will he be able to do so? This answer will be given to you once you see the movie.

The movie also has a parallel storyline to it and it’s the story of Saisri, who is the wife of Sikandar. So, what happens with Saisri and Sikandar is hidden in the trailer. So, you will get the answer to it also in the movie.

The story of the movie is written by the director himself i.e. by AR Murugadoss.

Acting of Stars in the Movie

Salman Khan

He has played the main role of Sikandar Rajkot in the movie. he has done justice to the role. He looked handsome and his slow-motion action scenes were great too. Overall, his work is good.

Rashmika Mandanna

She has played the role of the wife of Sikandar i.e. Saisri Rajkot. Her acting is good.

Satyaraj

He is playing the role of the negative minister Rakesh Pradhan. His acting is good as you generate hate for him.

Prateek Babbar

He is playing the role of Arjun Pradhan in the movie and has done a good job.

Kajal Aggarwal

She plays the role of Vaidehi in the movie and has done a good job. She looked beautiful as well.

Sharman Joshi

He is playing the role of Amar, who is the secretary of Sikandar. His acting suits his personality as he looks like a puppet of Sikandar and nothing else.

Anjini Dhawan

She is playing the role of Nisha and has done a good job.

Direction of the Movie

The direction of the movie is done by AR Murugadoss. He has made a good appeal movie where everything is top notch be it the action scenes, the camera work, the narration style, and more. However, the script of the movie is not impressive so it does not get along with the direction.

Music of the Movie

The music of the movie is good and it's given by Pritam. Songs like Nache Sikandar and Zohra Zabeen are the songs that will excite you the most.

The Final Verdict of the Movie

The movie is well made by the director as it has good action scenes, a different way to tell the story, and more. The story of the movie lacks a little bit of engagement with the audience as the two stories, one of Saisri and Sikandar and the other of Rakesh politician with Sikandar do not go hand in hand. Also, one or two scenes are there that hide a little information from the audience.

So, for me, it’s the kind of movie that we saw in the past “Kisi ka bhai kisi ki jaan”. It was a movie that was flooded with a star cast but did not engage. So, the result of this movie will also be like that movie. It will not work at the box office. I give it 2 thumbs up. One for Salman Khan and the other for action scenes. Hope you liked the review.
