Akshay Kumar’s Oh My God 2 Release on Hold by Censor Board

Things are not going great for Akshay Kumar’s career as his past flop movies like Selfie, Ram Setu, Bachchan Pandey, Samrat Prithviraj, Atrangi Re, etc did not do well at the box office and his all hopes of a hit movie are on “Oh my god 2” that is about to release in August 2023. However, his hopes of a quick and easy release of the movie look shattered as the censor board has put a halt to its release. Why do they do so? Let's figure out this in detail:

What Went Wrong with Oh My God 2?

During the Adipurush release, the censor board was criticized by the public for releasing the movies without much attention to the dialogues and scenes of the movies, especially those related to god-based characters.

As omg 2 is also based upon the role of Shiv (played by Akshay Kumar) in the movie, the board has decided to check the movie through and through before releasing it in public to avoid any mistakes.

The censor board is careful this time as they do not want to take the risk of releasing the movie after any suspicious dialogues or scenes. The board has sent the movie to a review team where the movie did not get a green signal. So, the board is taking its time and trying its best to cut out the objectionable scenes that could disturb the emotions of the audience.

As the omg 2 release date is now delayed due to the extra care by the team of the Censor board. The board is not in the mood of facing the backlash again from the audience after they released Adipurush. They have also hidden the teaser of the movie from people as of now.
